Workshop goal and objectives

The goal of this workshop is to equip participants with the tools and confidence needed to network effectively and make a strong impression at job fairs. We aim to help participants understand how to leverage their personal and professional networks while maximizing the opportunities that job fairs offer.

After completing this workshop, participants should be able to:

• Create a simple action plan to expand their network using connections with family, friends, and new contacts.
• Recognize effective and ineffective approaches when speaking to recruiters at job fairs.
• Prepare thoughtful questions and introductions that make a lasting impression on recruiters.
• Understand how to research companies before attending job fairs.
• Follow up with recruiters to maintain connections after initial meetings.

Time

This workshop is approximately 60 minutes in length.
